24-25 Basketball

2024-2025 Basketball League

1.League Overview:
  • Divisions: 
  •  Boys: 3rd/4th Grade and 5th/6th Grade
  •  Girls: 3rd/4th Grade and 5th/6th Grade
  • Season Duration December – February 
  • Game Format:8 regular season games followed by an end-of-year tournament.
  • Teams will be organized by coaches 7-10 Players

2.Season Schedule:
  •   Start Date: December 2, 2024
  •   End of year Tournament February 8th
  •   Games per Week: Two games per week (Saturdays or Sundays)
  •   Total Games: 8 regular season games + tournament
  • Games and Tournament will have a fan admission fee instead of a fundraiser

3.Game Structure:
  • Two 16-minute halves
  • Clock stops only during free throws
  • Man-to-man defense only, no zone defense
  • Pressing allowed only in the 6th grade, and only in the last 2 minutes of each half
  • Focus: Development of individual and team skills

4.Registration:
  • Oct-Nov. 22nd
  • $60 per player
  • Payment Plan Available
  • Early bird $10 discount until Nov 6th
  • 10$ Late fee for registrations after Nov 22 with hard cut off on Nov 30th

5.Equipment Needed
  • Gym Shoes (No street shoes allowed)
  • Shorts
  • T-Shirt
  • Game Shirts will be provided by GCYAA for games and Tournament play
